Lag Ba'omer Sameach!

We wish you all a wonderful Lag Ba'omer. May the fires of this holy day burn out the evil from our midst, in the zechut of HaTanna Ha'aloki, Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai. Chazak U'Baruch!

Not the Good Kind of Revisionism

The Boston Globe has once again cemented its position as the newspaper of the most liberal city on the East Coast. In the "Ideas" section this Sunday, under the guise of a book review, severe anti-Israel bias and at least one barefaced lie about Israel were published. The most obvious of these, of course, was the caption of the photo showing Israeli soldiers in 1948. The caption read:
Israeli soldiers during the 1948-1949 conflict. The Israelis enjoyed a decisive edge in military power and organization.
As any student of history knows, the "Israeli soldiers" at that time were mostly kibbutzniks, other settlers, and refugees from the Holocaust. They had to fight off Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, not to mention the Arabs of the British Mandate itself. Although one MIGHT be able to argue the idea that Israel was more organized, they were enormously out numbered, both in manpower and armaments. Tragically, this book was written by an Israeli. As Kahane taught us, the greatest enemy of the Jew is the Jew.

60 Years of Excellence

Congratulations to the State of Israel on beating the odds and the Arabs and surviving for 60 years!
Like most of you, (we assume) B'ZAYON loves Israel. In fact, regardless of our current geographic affiliations, we view Israel as our real home (Hence the Zionism).
We just have problems with the state of Israel (pun intended). Us an' Israel is tight. Props to Israel for surviving for 60 years. Booyakasha. Respek.

The People's Republic of Israel

We have witnessed, in the past few days, the brutal truth that Israel is not a truly free country. After reading, or attempting to read, the sordid tale of Mr. Olmert, one is prompted to ask: What the $@#% happened to freedom of speech?!? And then you remember - this is Israel! They don't have a Constitution, much less a Bill of Rights!
Lordy, Lordy, Lordy...

A Merry May Day!

Although the Commie/Socialist roots of this Holiday are often emphasized, we, being Anarchists and as such the mortal enemies of any and all Communist (and therefore Authoritarian) government, must point out the Anarchist origin of International Worker's Day. The Haymarket Affair is generally considered the origin of May Day. The Haymarket Affair, of course, was the rally and ensuing riot for the eight hour work day that resulted in the deaths of seven police officers and an unknown number of civilians. Eight anarchists were tried for murder, four were put to death, and one committed suicide in prison. They became martyrs for the cause. B'ZAYON has hereby attempted to reclaim May Day from the Red Commie Bastards who have co-opted it. Workers of the World Disunite!
