Today is the yahrzeit (deathday?) of Reb Shlomo Carlebach, Zechuso Yagein Aleinu. Shlomo is and should be a inspiration to all good Jewboys and Jewgirls. So please, sing an extra song at Kabbalat Shabbat tonight, and learn a little more Chassidishe Torah. Secondly, we recieved a greater endorsement than we could give ourselves on the livejournal of the soon to be legendary Aaron Van Praag. He said:

Rumble on the UC Berkeley Campus last night. Punches were thrown, several people restrained by the police. Many minor injuries.
It appears to have been a set-up by Students for Justice in Palestine.

The pro-Palestinians want to discredit the Jewish/Israeli faction on campus, and cause their student body representatitves to be sidelined.
Among other things that will mean that the divestment issue can be raised again. Berkeley has been a poisonous place for several years - it appears that the pro-pallies are ramping up the offensive. We expect the campus to turn into a hot zone by the end of the year.
It just so happens that the "gods" ordained that today is the last day of the Sun Month, the 25th, in the All Week, the Sun day.
