It is not necessary to recount the events of the past few days, as it seems evident to us that all have heard about it. One wonders what the point of a blog post is at a time like this, and perhaps it is only a small consolation to the writer. However, this should spur us all to redouble our efforts, and to note a teaching of Reb Shlomo (Carlebach): How does somebody sitting here in Boston have any effect on the total evil half a world away? Shlomo teaches us that we have to overflow the evil created by these acts with good, and in this way we will have an effect. So, please, do an additional goodness today to help combat the forces of evil.
